Additional Information : The work is Hand Signed by the artist in pencil at the lower left, and also signed in the plate.
It is also inscribed in pencil "E.A" (Artist Proof).
This is rare and possibly unique color trial before the rest of the color plates were introduced.
Villon made some color trials of this lithograph before he printed the final edition that was published in the end of the 50's in a limited edition of approx. 150 impressions.
It was based on an oil painting by Villon that was one of the studies for the decoration of the school of Technique in Cachan.
