Additional Information : This early etching is HAND SIGNED in pencil by the artist "Marc Chagall" at the lower right.
The work is also Hand Numbered in pencil "111/120" at the lower left.
It was executed in 1926 and printed in 1927. This is the second and final state of the plate.
The work was printed in a limited edition of 120 signed and numbered impressions.
The title "Open the Night" (Ouvert La Nuit) derives from a text by Paul Morand.
