Additional Information : This Color Linocut is Hand Numbered in pencil "374/440" at the lower left margin,
as well as Hand Inscribed in pencil "HC" (Hors Commerce = Before Trade) at the lower right margin.
This is an invitation card for the Madoura gallery for an exhibition by Picasso in 1968.
The work was printed by Arnera, Vallauris and published by Gallerie Madoura, Cannes and Vallauris, 1970
The Linocut was printed in a limited edition of 440 hand numbered and inscribed impressions.
There were also 125 numbered impressions on on Velin d'Arches paper, with margins
The work is dated "11.15.1968" in the plate in the lower left.
This is a greetings card for the Gallerie Madoura for 1968.
Printed within : "Linographie originale de Picasso Specialiement gravee par l'autour a l'intention
des amis de Suzanne et Georges RAMIE".
On the second page is printed "Avec les meilleurs compliments et tous les voeux de Madoura ".
There was a very similar ceramic also made (see Bloch, volume III, number 181)
