Additional Information: This etching is hand signed in pencil by Marc Chagall with his initials "M.CH" at the lower right margin.
The work is also hand Numbered in pencil at the lower left margin "80/100".
The etching is additionally signed in the plate by the artist "Chagall" at the lower right corner of the image.
This beautiful etching was printed in 1956 as part of the series "Bible" that included 105 different original etchings that described scenes from the Bible.
It was printed by edition Verve, Paris.
Chagall printed only 100 impressions of each etching and HAND COLORED them by himself with watercolor.
In this way each of these hand colored etchings is an original work of Chagall, one of a kind!!!
The work appears in the catalogue raisonne of Chagall.
