Additional Information: This colourful unique drawing on the inside title-page of the book “Chagall par Andre Piery de Mandiargues”. It is hand signed, dedicated and dated in black ink at the lower margin. This book about Marc Chagall, contains an original colour lithograph “The Green River” stretching over a double page at the beginning of the book. Chagall dedicated the drawing to his friends living in St Paul de Vence: “Pour les amis Ingride et Alfred 1975”. The Neumans were neighbours of Marc Chagall in Saint Paul de Vence, and over a 25 year period they became close friends with the artist. It was during this long friendship that Chagall personally inscribed and illustrated this book.
