Additional Information: This lithograph in colours with collage is hand signed by the artist in pencil “Niki de Saint Phalle” in the lower right image.

It is hand numbered in pencil from the edition of 50, in the lower left image.

The work is also inscribed “for Ted with love from Niki”, in the lower right image. The word love is followed by a hand drawn heart.

Provenance: Ted Tourtellotte (1928-2022). Gifted from the artist.

Ted was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma in 1928.

He was a close friend of Niki de Saint Phalle. They first met through a mutual friend, Christian DuMonteil. It was upon Niki’s move to La Jolla, California, near the San Diego house that Ted had retired to, that they became almost inseparable until Niki’s passing in 2002.
