Additional Information: This original woodcut is hand signed and dated in pencil by the artist “HM Pechstein 1912” at the lower right margin.
Our impression is one of only 15 on this paper with hand colouring by the artist.
It was published by Fritz Gurlitt, Berlin 1n 1912 and was originally intended as a portfolio of 15 subjects, however, the collaboration was never released in this way.
It is an extremely rare subject with only a small number of hand-coloured works from other compositions in the ‘series’ known in public collections.
