Additional Information: This etching and aquatint is hand signed in brown crayon by the artist “G.Braque” at the lower right margin.
It is also hand numbered in brown crayon from the edition of 200, at the lower left margin. The work is also dedicated and further signed in pencil by the artist “Pour Carleton Smith, 1957” [For Carleton Smith 1957].
The work was printed by Lacourière, Paris in a limited edition of 200 signed and numbered impressions in the 1950’s and it was published by Maeght, Paris.
The paper bears the Arches watermark in the lower margin.

Note: Robert Carleton Smith (1908-1984) was the former chairman of the International Awards Foundation and was celebrated for inaugurating the Pritzker Prize in architecture, which has since become one of the most prestigious awards in the field of Architecture. He was a distinguished and long-time patron and collector of the arts.

Condition: Good condition. Time-staining across the sheet. Creasing along the lower and upper sheet edges.
