Condition: Good condition. Colours strong and bright. Handling creases throughout. Tape remains, verso.

Férat showed his work, with that of other Cubists, at the Salon des Indépendants until 1928,

Thereafter he gradually distanced himself from the strictures of Cubism, and developed a passion for the circus and parades.
Férat, who died in 1958, bequeathed his collection to Haba Roussot, his companion for over 20 years.
Until her death in 2001, Haba devoted all her energy to promoting Serge Férat´s work, showing it
across Europe and in the United States and Japan.
