This original etching is hand signed in pencil by the artist "Louis Icart" in the lower right margin.
The work was made as part of the series 'La Nuit et le Moment' which consisted of 25 different etchings in colours.
It was produced for the book of the same name, with an edition size of 525 plus artist's proofs.
Our impression is probably one of the artist proofs that were hand signed by the artist while the regular edition was not signed.
It was published by Claude Prosper de Crebillon.
