Additional Information: This original lithograph in colours is hand signed in pencil by the artist “D.A.Siqueiros” at the lower right margin.
It is also inscribed and dated in pencil “E/E 1940” at the lower left margin

Note: The two portraits are from a study for the Mural “Muerte al Invasor” painted by the artist in 1941-42 for the Biblioteca de la Escuelo Mexico, in Chillán Chile.
Along with Diego Rivera and José Clemente Orozco, Siqueiros established “Mexican Muralism.” He was a Marxist-Leninist in support of the Soviet Union and a member of the Mexican Communist Party who participated in an unsuccessful attempt to assassinate Leon Trotsky in May 1940

Condition: Good condition. A minor tear in the upper right image. Time-staining across the sheet. Minor nicks and tears along the right sheet edge.
