This chalk drawing is signed and dated in pencil by the artist "HMP 1931" in the lower right image.
Note: The drawing was created in the region of Pomerania, Northern Poland, near to the settlement of Rowy at the mouth of the river Lupow, where the artist stayed from late summer 1931.
The subject is likely a study for the composition of the painting “Nach der Heimkehr” [After Returning Home], recorded in the raisonné Soika 193/11

This work is accompanied by a photo-certificate of authenticity issued by Julia Pechstein dated 03.06.2025. The work is recorded in the archives with the number 2025 06 03 01.
Condition: Good condition. Very small paper losses at the lower left and right edges skilfully repaired. The paper laid to supporting Japan paper. Minor areas of browning in the sheet corners.
