This original lithograph in colours is hand signed in pencil by the artist "Marc Chagall" in the lower right corner.
It is also hand numbered in pencil in Roman numerals from the edition of XXV, at the lower left corner. This is one of 25 artist’s proofs aside from the standard edition of 175 in Arabic numerals.
It was printed by Mourlot, Paris and was published in 1969 as part of the publication "Elsa Triolet, La Mise en Mots", by Albert Skira.
It is printed on a double page with the centre fold to the left of the artwork (as issued).
