This is a praparatory study for the painting "The Fight of Roosters in Cairo" / "Combat de Coqs au Caire", now displayed at the National Hungarian Museum in Budapest.
It is an oil on cardboard.
The work bears an old label with the following inscription:
"Eisenhut Kiallites 1903 n°115
Varlat a Kakasviadal hoz »"
It is also numbered in blue pencil "no. 95" and has a another label numbered "303".

Provenance: Private collection in France.

Condition: Good condition. Small area of mild abrasion on the left side. small paint loss on the lower left side. Unexamined outside the frame.
