Original Hand Signed and Numbered Etching on Holland Simili-Japan Paper
42.5 x 31 cm. / 16.7 x 12.2 in. Image size: 15.5 x 10.5 cm. / 6.1 x 4.1 in.
This etching is hand signed in pencil by the artist "Ernst Oppler" at the lower right margin.
It is also hand numbered in pencil “9/30” at the lower left margin.
It is countersigned by the respected printer, Fritz Voigt, along the platemark.
The work is titled in German at the lower left margin.
The paper bears a partial Holland watermark.
Another impression of this subject is found in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum, New York.

Provenance:
Bears the collectors mark EHA (not in Lugt).

Condition: Good condition. A 10 mm. tear at the right sheet edge. Soft handling creases across the sheet. Pale staining in the right margin. Remnants of adhesive tape in the upper sheet corners, verso.
